Coca-Cola is set to begin experimenting with artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT when it comes to its digital and marketing communications, according to media reports.
The beverage company said that it will be collaborating with management consultancy firm Bain & Co. to explore the use of AI tools such as Codex, DALL.E and ChatGPT. The news comes after Bain & Co. implemented OpenAI into its own operations. The company is now assisting its clients as they themselves explore and integrate this technology into their brands.
AI has been the talk of the town lately with ChatGPT amassing 57 million monthly active users in its first month of availability, according to CBS News.
While ChatGPT can respond to prompts in an almost human-like way, DALL.E can generate images based on a prompt of a collection of words or phrases. Codex on the other had has the ability to translate written instructions into code.
Media reports describe Coca-Cola’S plans for AI to be some of the most ambitious seen thus far in any consumer product company. However, details were not revealed.

The news comes as Microsoft and Google both announced that they will be incorporating AI into their search engines as Microsoft revamps Bing and Google launches Bard.
Bard is an artificial intelligence chatbot technology that Google plans to roll out in the coming weeks. The system is powered by Google’s Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA) and is a conversational AI service that seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our larger language model, according to a statement by Google and Alphabet’s CEO, Sundar Pichai on its website.
While exciting, shares of Alphabet, plummeted at over 7% after the company held an event to promote Bard, according to a report by CNBC. This happened just one day after its competitor, Microsoft held its own event to show off its new artificial intelligence (AI) features in its search engine, Bing.
